“We are excited that we were awarded the grant, and have the construction team in place. All we have to do now is complete the campaign launched last year. The community has already committed $1.75 million towards this effort and we will continue to ask for support for the Library until we reach our goal,” said Deborah Knox, Library Board Chair and Capital Campaign Chair. “Through the generosity of the community, we expect to raise over $2 million which will be placed in a Restricted Fund for Programs to support this unprecedented opportunity for Baxter County.” Commitments to the campaign may be paid over three years, but commitments must be in writing for us to be able to count it toward our campaign goal.

By mail – Send your personal check payable to Baxter County Library Foundation to P. O. Box 1014, Mountain Home, Arkansas 72654.

Appreciated Assets (stock, real estate, jewelry, livestock) - No need to sell the asset and pay a capital gains tax before donating the proceeds. Instead, you get the charitable write-off for the appreciated value of the asset transferred and pay no capital gains tax.
