DESCRIPTION:The Matt Powell Experience is unlike any band around—deliver
 ing a high energy sound of all-original American roots music, at once blue
 sy and folksy, pretty and gritty.  The band formed in Mountain Home in 2
 025, around Matt’s songwriting workshop at ASUMH and local blues jams, d
 rawn together with a shared desire to create great music, full of soul and
  straight from the heart.  Matt Powell’s guitar is rhythmic, tasty and
  full of tone—as one west coast blues legend noted, he “knows where to
  put it.” Jenny Woodruff honed her instinctive drumming style over 30 ye
 ars of playing in bands covering a wide range of genres. Daddy Rabbit is a
  rolling stone who blows harp like he’s breaking out of jail. Cody Gilbe
 rt’s bass rounds out the sound with a warm foundation.  Together they 
 create an Experience unlike any band around—original songs with somethin
 g to say, and a fire in the belly.
