DESCRIPTION:Our first concert of the Summer Concert Series will feature Da
 vid Norris sharing a selection of songs from musical theatre, jazz standar
 ds, and Americana folk music that together tell a story.David Norris is a 
 director, educator, writer, and performer. He recently co-founded the Moun
 tain Home Theatre Artists' Collective where he serves as business dir
 ector and producer of several upcoming projects. David's background s
 pans acting (Harold Hill in The Music Man, various roles in A-State's
  As You Like It, and Felix Ungar in The Odd Couple), directing (Newsies, M
 amma Mia, and A Christmas Carol) and arts education with the Newport Schoo
 l District and The Studio Arts Center in Bald Knob. In 2019 David's o
 riginal play, Open 24/7, premiered at the Echo Theater Company in Los Ange
 les, where he served as a playwright in residence. His biggest influences 
 are his parents, Jon and Terry, his high school choir director Angela Weav
 er, his best friend and Arkansas cellist Shelby Steward, and his fiancè H
 eaven Horn.
