Ancestry.com at Home

Ancestry Library Edition available through the Library’s website.

MOUNTAIN HOME, ARK. – Ancestry Library Edition, which is normally available to use inside the Library, is now temporarily accessible outside the Library on the Library’s website. Accessing the same resources the pros use from at home will have you learning about your heritage in no time. Simple to use, Ancestry Library Edition is stocked with billions of records, like census data, city directories, cemeteries, wills and probates, and immigration information. The library also has digitized newspaper archives that can be goldmines for family historians.

How do you get started with researching your heritage? Make a list of relatives with details you know about them – birth and death dates, places where they lived, companies they worked for, military service, etc. That information will give you starting points for your research and you’ll add more details as your research progresses. Once the Library reopens, you can continue your research and get help from our staff.
