What is a telescope and how do I use it? It may seem intimidating to check out and be responsible for an expensive piece of equipment.  Or perhaps you have recently purchased a new telescope, or you have a child who wants a telescope for Christmas or a birthday.  This class is the answer to your families' questions about telescopes.  Matthew Van Landingham will cover basic types of telescopes, how to use them, and how to care for, and maintain your own telescope.  Please bring your telescope if you would like to learn more about it as each one is different.

If you have multiple people in your family who would like to attend, please register each person as space is limited.  If the waitlist fills, we will offer a repeat class.  Please cancel as soon as possible if you are unable to attend so the next person on the waitlist can be informed and attend. If you are on the waitlist, please check your e-mail the day of the program in case of last-minute cancellations.
