Learn some basic words and phrases in American Sign Language. One of the ways to communicate with those who are deaf or hearing impaired is sign language. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn some basic signs enabling you to open communication with those who speak ASL. Hellen Keller lost her hearing as well as her vision. The history of her education includes learning ways the deaf or hearing impaired communicate as well as learning to better communicate with them.
