Dance Party!
Join us for a reading of two children’s picture books that help us explore two interesting time periods in history! First, we will read Little Rosetta and the Talking Guitar, a wonderful story about the Arkansas blues legend Rosetta Tharp. We will listen to Rosetta’s music and talk about the popularity of blues music in America!
Our second book will be The Keeping Quilt, which shares a special family story of immigration into the United States many years ago. Attendees will design and create a paper quilt square to represent something about themselves.
