Event Details

Join Dr. Michelle Rathgaber, an archeologist with the Arkansas Archeological Survey, for a pottery workshop. We will talk about Native American pottery that is found archeologically and look at examples of how it was made and decorated. Then participants will try their hand at making a small vessel. Each participant will get some air-dry clay to work with and tools will be provided to try some of the techniques used in hand coiled pottery making. Everyone will be able to take their creation home after the workshop.
