We will be discussing our 2025 If All Baxter County Read the Same Book selection The Third Act of Theo Gruene by Talya Tate Boerner. The purpose of If All Baxter County Read the Same Book is to foster conversation in our community through discussion of the the book chosen. 

Theo Gruene is comfortable with the predictable rut of his life. A seventy-year-old retired botany professor, he spends his days preserving plant specimens for the University of Arkansas Herbarium and minding his own business. When Penelope Palmer, a precocious eight-year-old, appears on his front porch during a spring thunderstorm, Theo’s life opens to unexpected possibilities.
