Event Details

Author Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Talya Tate Boerner will present a workshop on Phenology, Nature's Calendar. The periodic events in biological life cycles and how these are influenced by seasonal and interannual variations in climate, for example when various plants start growing, bloom, and go to seed or when certain birds migrate, start building nests, and laying eggs. We will be giving Talya's Phenology Guide and Workbook to one lucky participant and 2 additional workbooks to 2 other lucky participants.  Register today to increase your chance of winning.

Notes from the author:

I love good stories of almost any genre. I like to binge-watch cooking shows and always have a stack of to-read library books on my desk. Yes, I am a bit late to the writing game, as I spent twenty-five years as a banker in Dallas before becoming an author. But better late than never, right?

I have a backyard butterfly garden and love growing native plants. As an Arkansas Master Gardener and an Arkansas Master Naturalist, nature often inspires my writing. In fact, I believe writing and gardening are extremely similar endeavors!

I live in Fayetteville, Arkansas with my husband and two schnauzers, Gracie and Annabelle (who rule the house). I think the Ozark Mountains are as gorgeous as any place on Earth!
