Event Details

Join the Baxter County as we welcome a very special guest speaker, Author Nancy Allen. She will be telling about her journey as an author, working with James Patterson, and her many novels. You won't want to miss this exciting event!

Nancy Allen is the author of the Ozarks Mystery Series, published by HarperCollins/Witness Impulse. She has the background required to tell the tales; she practiced law for fifteen years as Assistant Missouri Attorney General and Assistant Prosecutor in her native Ozarks.  She’s tried over thirty jury cases, including murder and sexual offenses, and was a long time professor at Missouri State University, as well as an author of legal thrillers.

Her debut novel, The Code of the Hills, was published in 2014 by HarperCollins. A Killing at the Creek came out in 2015; her third book, The Wages of Sin was released in April, 2016. The Ozarks Mysteries follow the career of Elsie Arnold, a tenacious (but flawed) Ozarks prosecutor.

Nancy co-authored with James Patterson on legal thriller Juror #3 and released a new title The Jailhouse Lawyer with Patterson on September 20, 2021.

Nancy will be happy to sign your copies of the books after she is finished speaking and will be happy to answer questions as well. Several copies of Nancy's books will be given away at the program! She is not able to sell her books at the event for publishing reasons, but will be happy to personally sign a copy if you bring one to the event.
