Our first concert of the Summer Concert Series will feature David Norris sharing a selection of songs from musical theatre, jazz standards, and Americana folk music that together tell a story.
David Norris is a director, educator, writer, and performer. He recently co-founded the Mountain Home Theatre Artists' Collective where he serves as business director and producer of several upcoming projects. David's background spans acting (Harold Hill in The Music Man, various roles in A-State's As You Like It, and Felix Ungar in The Odd Couple), directing (Newsies, Mamma Mia, and A Christmas Carol) and arts education with the Newport School District and The Studio Arts Center in Bald Knob. In 2019 David's original play, Open 24/7, premiered at the Echo Theater Company in Los Angeles, where he served as a playwright in residence. His biggest influences are his parents, Jon and Terry, his high school choir director Angela Weaver, his best friend and Arkansas cellist Shelby Steward, and his fiancè Heaven Horn.
