Event Details

Sea of Tranquility is a novel of time travel and metaphysics, taking the reader from Vancouver Island in 1912 to a dark colony on the moon five hundred years later.  Mandel is the best-selling author of Station Eleven and The Glass Hotel, and resides in New York City.

Sea of Tranquility is the Arkansas State Library's selection for 2022’s If All Arkansas Read the Same Book.Since 2001, If All Arkansas Read the Same Book is an annual, statewide reading program designed to encourage the enjoyment of reading and promote book discussion in libraries of all types across Arkansas.

Emily will be visiting with fans via Zoom. Join us in-person at the Library to participate or join on Zoom from home.

There is no charge to attend this Zoom appearance from home, but registration with the Arkansas State Library is required.  Registered participants will be sent a Zoom link upon registration. The program will also be livestreamed on the Arkansas State Library’s YouTube page.
