Read. Connect. Discuss.
Looking for a welcoming place to share your love of books? The Baxter County Library offers a wide range of adult book clubs, whether you’re drawn to nonfiction, cozy mysteries, staff-curated reads, or stories with an eerie twist. You can even check out a Book Club in a Bag set to host your own discussion with friends.
This year’s lineup includes Lens on Literature, our new nonfiction club; The Whodunit Society, a new cozy mystery group; All Booked: Staff Picks, a refreshed version of our popular All Booked club; the Friday the 13th Book Club for readers who enjoy eerie and unusual titles; and Ales & Tales, where attendees gather at Rapp's Barren Brewing Co. to enjoy live book readings, with a portion of the evening’s proceeds supporting the Library. Our Book Club in a Bag kits remain a convenient option for starting your own club.
Multiple copies of each book club title are available behind the Circulation Desk and can be checked out for two weeks.
