Program Description

Event Details

The Friends of the Baxter County Library will be hosting Ms. Bethany Clark, the Wellness Director at the Heinz-Willett Center for Well-being, at their monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 10 at 1:30pm in the Knox Community Room. Ms. Clark will be holding a Drums Alive discussion and demonstration.

Drums Alive integrates the energetic movements of aerobic dance with the vibrant beats of the drum. This distinctive sensory/motor regimen is crafted to provide immediate feedback to the mind and body through uninterrupted motion and rhythmic flow. The program employs a "whole brain - whole body" approach, fostering the development of sensory motor reflexes and kinesthetic awareness. The program offers a multitude of physiological and psychological advantages, akin to those found in conventional forms of aerobic fitness.

Informative and entertaining - everyone welcome. Library updates, program and refreshments. Meet new friends who love books, the Library, and this community.
