Current Attending Authors:

1. Petra Szmykowski-Britton, Florian the Fly Flies to Florida

  • In his very first adventure, Florian the Fly starts out being quite unhappy. The weather this summer in Germany is cold and wet, and considering that his lifespan is only 4 weeks, he seeks to find a place that is warm and sunny. Luckily for him, he learns about the triplets who are planning on traveling to see their aunt in Florida. With the help of an unlikely ally, he manages to accompany the girls on their flight to Florida. There he makes new friends, learns English, and discovers his new purpose in life. He gains a new power and becomes a hero to other insects who are threatened, endangered, or have found themselves far away from their native countries, longing to return home. Throughout his adventures, he learns new languages, discovers diverse cultures and makes lifelong friends. The stories in this series are written in English and German.

2. Cecelia Wilson, Back to Bremen

  • This true WWII book depicts the true saga of Marta Röpke, a common mother of a non-Jewish, German family of eight children living in Nazi Germany.  Told through the voice of her daughter Edith, the fear of a child is felt as Bremen and her citizens experience the intensity of the conflict.  For more than a decade, Marta must risk everything so her children might survive the war that has come to their doorstep.  Deeply moving, Back to Bremen is a vivid reminder that war creates countless victims, but a mother’s love can turn a common woman into a heroine.

3. Larry D. Butler, PhD - OUT ON THE LAND…Sharing Conservation Secrets

  • You will find Out on the Land, …Sharing Conservation Secrets is a book of stories of people and circumstances that influenced Dr. Butler to dedicate his life to conservation out on the land. Some stories are humorous, a few may strike an emotional chord, and all stories are factual and contain teachable moments. There are stories of how conservation messages (secrets, if you will) were learned, developed, and shared with and between ranchers, farmers, and others. Stories of developing technical knowledge, skills, and abilities are included as well as stories of leadership development. This book will inspire readers to develop their own life-journeys in their chosen field of endeavors.

4. Rhona Weaver, A Noble Calling

  • Special Agent Win Tyler never had the chance to visit Yellowstone as a kid, but he’d always imagined buffalo, wolves, and bears. Heavily armed bad guys didn’t fit into his expectations. But when Win arrives in the park during a spring snowstorm, danger is already at hand. His expectations of a dead-end duty station couldn’t have been more wrong as he finds himself fighting a murderous militia, a determined assassin, and an anti-Semitic prophet who’s twisted the faith that Win holds dear. A Noble Calling is a heartfelt debut that plunges the reader deep into Win Tyler’s world of Yellowstone National Park…a world of wonder and majesty, invaded by forces that would divide and destroy.

5. Rebekah Lever, Children's Big Island's Dream Sing-Along Book
