On Tuesdays and Thursdays starting November 3 from 3:30-4:30PM, the Baxter County Library is offering after-school meals for kids and teens. After-school meals are offered to students 18 years and younger at no cost to the student/family, and are served in the Library foyer. Children will receive one meal each day they are provided, and must be present the first time of pick-up. Parents can then sign a waiver to pick up subsequent meals without a child. Staff are taking necessary precautions wearing masks, gloves, and disinfecting surfaces before and after distributing meals. This program is a community collaboration with the North Central Arkansas Food Bank and the USDA.
This is an equal opportunity program. In accordance with Federal Law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
