On Tuesdays from 3:00-4:00PM, the Baxter County Library is offering after-school meals for students 18 and younger. After-school meals are offered at no cost to the student/family, and are served in the downstairs multi-purpose room.

Coloring is an excellent way to slow down and de-stress.  Bring your own supplies or choose from a variety of coloring pages and supplies available at the library.

Join in the fun with stories, songs, puppets and fun activities that encourage development of Early Literacy skills in young children. 

Lens on Literature is the Library’s new nonfiction book club, designed for readers who enjoy exploring real stories, big ideas, and compelling histories—without debate or pressure.

Join us for yoga! The Library asks that all patrons arrive between 3:45-4:00pm.

Join the Library staff for a fun, educational time. All materials provided. 

Groups rotate based on age: 5-8 yrs., 9-12 yrs., and 13-17 yrs.

Our Maker Space, Studio 300, will be open so register now and bring your supplies in to work on your latest creative endeavor.

Teams compete to see who can assemble a 300-piece puzzle first in the 90-minute timeframe. 

Small prizes given to winning team. Only ONE person needs to register per team. 

Drop in to talk to Carole Jones, the artist whose work is on display at the Library. Listen to live music with Russell Tucker on cello and Shirley Poynter on piano.

This is a time for caregivers and babies birth through 18 months to enjoy time together learning and playing.

Learn how to make your own homemade baby food with Extension Office Agent LeeAnn Blevins.

Read and discuss books, discuss movies, celebrate together, and have fun!

We will make a raisin carrot bar mix in a jar and a candle. Give it to someone who needs a little hope.

Join us on the second Tuesday of each month at Rapp's Barren Brewing Company for an evening of literary enrichment at Ales & Tales.
