The Art Odyssey Studio Tour is Coming Up Fast

This year is the 10th Annual Art Odyssey Artist Studio Tour, September 30 through October 2, a three-day tour of artist studios in the local area. The tour features twenty-two area artists showcasing a variety of mediums including works on canvas, pottery, jewelry, and woodworking.

The artists will be meeting at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County, August 17 for their Artist Orientation. This is the time for artists to gather signs for directing patrons to their studio and pick up any other collateral for a successful studio tour. The artists, at this time, will be leaving a piece of art at the Library to be showcased in the display in the foyer of the Library. This exhibit is The Art Odyssey Sneak Preview.  Patrons of the Library will have the opportunity to see these wonderful pieces of art prior to the art studio tour and decide which artist they would like to visit. The display will run August 23 through the end of the tour and will be open during regular Library hours.

There is no charge for the tour.  Printed tour guides with information about the artists and directions to their studios will be available to pick up at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County, area Chambers of Commerce, and other locations in September.  For information about the tour, visit www.theartodyssey.com.
