Learn About Your Family’s Military Past

On Tuesday, November 10 at 11am, the Baxter County Library is hosting a virtual genealogy class to teach patrons how to discover their family’s military records.

Vincent Anderson, Local Historian and Collections Coordinator at the Library, will guide you step-by-step on how to use Ancestry and Fold3 to help you make the most of your genealogical research.

Fold3 features premier collections of original military records. These records include the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served in the military. Many of the records come from the U.S. National archives, The National Archives of the U.K. and other international records.

Ancestry Library Edition is offered through the Baxter County Library to help people research their family history by providing access to billions of U.S and international documents online. You can use Ancestry Library Edition from home for a limited time by visiting the Library's website at baxlib.org/ancestry-home.

To participate at no cost, register on the calendar at baxlib.org before November 10 to receive the Zoom link. For more information, contact Vincent Anderson at vincent.a@baxlib.org.
